Here are some of the
WRONG
ways to take TAIslim:
“I
drink 1 ounce in the morning and 1 ounce at night” –
WRONG
“I drink 2 ounces in the morning by itself (no
water) and 2 ounces at dinner” –
WRONG
“I don’t like breakfast so I take it at lunch and
dinner” –
WRONG
“Dinner is my biggest meal so I skip it at lunch and
take it with dinner” -
WRONG
“I’m drinking other liquids because I don’t like
just drinking water” –
WRONG
“I’ve been taking 2 ounces 1 hour before breakfast
and 1 hour before dinner” –
WRONG
“I drank the 2 ounces of
TAIslim
with 24 ounces of water”
–
WRONG
“I put it in 8 ounces of water and drank it during
my meals” –
WRONG
“I’ve done it all right but I’m have a couple of (alcoholic)
drinks after dinner” -
WRONG
“I don’t have time to drink the water throughout the
day so I’m drinking 32 ounces at breakfast & 32 at
dinner” –
WRONG
“I hate exercising and drinking water, so I’m taking
2 ounces at Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner” –
WRONG,
WRONG, WRONG!
The correct way
is to take 2 ounces of TAIslim with 8 ounces of water at the
start of breakfast and lunch.
Or, you will feel
fuller faster if you take it 10 minutes before you
eat! (But absolutely no longer than 10 minutes
before eating.)
You can do the
same with dinner if you like!

How to Make Your Fidgets Pay Off
For as long as I can
remember, nutritionists and exercise
physiologists have claimed that the "fidget
factor" — activities such as cleaning the house,
playing an instrument, even wiggling your toes —
has a significant impact on body weight. Then,
in 2005, the Mayo Clinic released a study that
not only verified the effect of this kind of
activity, but also went so far as to say that it
was more important than formal exercise in
determining whether you were destined to be thin
or fat.
The folks at the Mayo
Clinic named this phenomenon Non-Exercise
Activity Thermogenesis (NEAT), but whatever you
want to call it, the fact remains that people
who move their bodies the most have an easier
time keeping weight off. According to his study,
obese people sit for an average of 150 minutes
more per day than their lean counterparts,
thereby burning 350 fewer calories.
The researchers
conceded that the NEAT defect in obese people
was due to biological differences, not lack of
motivation, but they also said that NEAT-seeking
behaviors should be encouraged. I agree. And to
that end, I encourage you to scrub your tub,
take the stairs, dig out your old drum set, play
with your kids, put your wastebasket at the far
end of your office, wander around when you're
talking on the phone, and just plain FIDGET
whenever and wherever you can!

Tips for
Using TAIslim, by Rick Handel
Caffeine in TAIslim - why it's
essential to your weight loss success!
Some folks seem to be concerned about the caffeine
in TAIslim, so let's put the facts on the table.
Each 2 oz. serving of TAIslim contains only 100 mg
of caffeine, which is less than 1/3 of what you'll
get from a medium coffee at Starbucks or any other
coffee bar.
That caffeine is there for a
reason, and it’s one that's essential to the weight
loss effect of TAIslim. Caffeine is not what boosts
your metabolic fat burning – that’s the job of
TAIslim’s powerful polyphenols from four different
varieties of tea, combined with the fat burning
effect of exercise. But when you’ve revved up your
metabolism and you’re burning fat like crazy, your
body actually thinks that something's wrong, and it
will do everything it can to stop the fat burning
process and get you back to a lower metabolic rate
to conserve energy. It does this by activating an
enzyme called cyclic adenosine monophosphate
phosphodiesterase-3 (PDE3 for short), and that
quickly lowers your metabolic rate and ends the fat
burning.
Well, that won't help your diet in the slightest,
but not to worry! All you need to inhibit PDE3 is a
little bit of caffeine along with the polyphenols.
This explains why, in the dozens of studies on green
tea, wu long tea, etc., they only work for weight
loss when the tea has not been decaffeinated.
It’s important for everyone to remember that the
small amount of caffeine is not absorbed the way it
would be if you were drinking Coke, Pepsi, or even
coffee. The fiber in TAIslim limits the absorption
of the caffeine. The energy that most people feel
with TAIslim is coming from the fat burning and not
from the caffeine.
We understand that there will always be a small
number of people who, for whatever reason, will
choose not to take one of our products. If someone
has an absolute intolerance for caffeine, for
example, then TAIslim may not be for them. But I've
heard from plenty of people who are otherwise highly
sensitive to caffeine, but who have been pleased to
find that they can take TAIslim safely and without
incident.
Constipation and TAIslim!
When
first starting TAIslim, some people may experience
constipation. This is a temporary condition that
almost always resolves itself within a week or two,
and it's caused by the body’s adjustment to the
fiber, the tea polyphenols, and the food plan.
Drinking more water than our recommended daily 64
ounces (2 liters) will not help, as water has
little to do with constipation (it’s processed by
the kidneys, not the intestines). Adding GoChi to
the diet may help, but there’s an additional
solution.
Many people are getting great results with
intestinal sluggishness by taking a daily serving of
Dannon Activia Light yogurt and/or Citrucel
Sugar-Free Orange Mix with SmartFiber. The Citrucel
(a natural product made from citrus cellulose) will
start working to get things “moving” within a day or
two (it’s next to the Metamucil in your pharmacy or
supermarket), and the Dannon Activia Light will help
tremendously in replacing bad intestinal bacteria
with healthy ones. It's a great strategy, will help
your weight loss even more, and you can even get
Citrucel as caplets if you don't want to mix it.
Some
causes of constipation:
Too much
protein and not enough roughage in Phase 1.
SOLUTION: Move to Phase 2. At the 1600 calorie
level for women, or 2000 calorie level for men,
you’ll lose weight.
Slow
adjustment to the fiber. The answer is to give your
body more time to adjust, and to drink more water
during the day (up to 8 glasses of total water
consumption including the water you take with your TAIslim).
DO NOT DRINK THIS MUCH WATER IF YOU ARE BLOATED OR
IT WILL MAKE IT WORSE. Taking a mild laxative
is not a terrible idea, but only for a day or two
until things return to normal. See the above
tip!

I
actually gained a couple of pounds the first few
days of drinking TAIslim but found out that I was
drinking way too much water (100 ounces) and that
for some people it takes a few days for the
intestines to adjust to the flora and fiber in
TAIslim. I cut back on my water intake to 80
ounces and started losing not only the couple of
pounds I'd gained, but an additional 7 pounds!

I saw a suggestion on the television program
"Biggest Losers" that when a person feels like
eating something between meals, chew
sugar free gum instead! There are lots of flavors
to choose from these days! I tried it and it works!
By the way, that program is so inspirational!
They are my heroes! (Along with Rick
Handel and Dave

Bill
loves salads but the calories in dressing really
add up so he's discovered that by using those
spritzer salad dressings he can spritz and uses
a lot less dressing and yet all the lettuce gets
covered. Yes, some will say that spritzing
is girly, but Bill says he doesn't care!
He's still a manly man even if he spritzes!

Here's
a tip for those of you who travel or at your
job. Take an empty CHI3 bottle and
fill it with 2 ounces of TAIslim. Put
it in the refrigerator in the evening so it
will be cold and ready to go. You can
drink it straight or put it in 8 ounces of
water! There you are--no more excuses for
not having it with you at work or when you
travel! Also, you can do the same
thing when you are eating out!

I would suggest that you actually
measure 2 ounces of TAIslim and 8 ounces
of water! At first I was guessing
instead of actually measuring and when I
finally poured 2 ounces into 8 ounces of
water I was shocked! I wasn't
drinking enough TAIslim or enough water!
